In 1991 I moved from London to Essex to join the Essex Fire and Rescue Service. I served 12 years and whilst I was serving the Community I worked for a local gas fire manufacturer called Taylor and Portway. I quickly started off in sheet metal and then became a qualified welder and sprayer. After five years I became a manager for this manufacturer working alongside fabrication and R&D.

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I retired from the fire service and decided to set up my own company installing gas fires and fireplaces.

Within a few months I employed two members of staff and between us all we quickly became a reputable installation company working alongside the likes of B&Q and Focal Point Fires and a number of manufacturers.

After a few more years we increased our staffing levels and also my son gained an apprenticeship in the gas industry and now we are a very strong installation and service repair company covering the south east of England.

As time went on and as I got older, I started working alongside some of the main leading gas fire manufacturers in the UK as a service engineer. I quickly became known as the ‘Fixer’ and also the ‘Doctor of Fires’. This is now led me to helping other people in the UK looking for someone to fix their fire, hence the name fix-my-fire.co.uk. This gives people the opportunity to find me and my team easily when searching for the right engineer to fix their fire.

Our vehicles are equipped with generally most manufacturers parts and we aim to fix your fire in the first service visit. If we are unable to fix your fire on the first visit we will certainly be able to give you a full diagnosis of the problem and a list of parts required to repair your appliance.

Our company ethos is to keep cost down for the customer and Offer a professional, reliable and knowledgeable service.
